During the whole period, from first enquiry to the journey itself, we will be by your side to help ensure your pet arrives safely at their final destination.

For pet travel from the UK you will need to ensure your pet adheres to all the relevant requirements on the Pet Passport Scheme for travel within the EU.

For travel outside the EU you will need to ensure you have all the relevant and necessary health certificates as required for entry into your destination country. It is always advisable to visit the DEFRA website as they will always have the most up to date information on pet travel requirements.

Once your veterinarian has been contacted you can arrange the necessary start of the pet passport process. Vaccinations must be given in line with the passport validation requirements. The Rabies Vaccine needs to be administered after the microchip has been fitted.

As of the 29th December 2014 animals have to be a minimum of 12 weeks old to have the Rabies vaccination. There is a full and complete 21 day waiting period after they have had the injection (the day of the injection is day 0, then the full 21 days must elapse meaning your pet can travel from day 22 onwards).

Your pet will also require a ‘fit to fly’ health certificate and this needs to be done within 96 hours of the flight departure. This is then stamped and signed in the pet passport on the clinical examination page by the vet. In the case of travel outside the EU this will be done on a regular health certificate.
