On arrival into London Heathrow, I was delighted how speedy the customs process worked and all the communication. At collection from the Animal Centre, the staff were amazing there too. After her long journey our dog was very pleased to see us with a lovely waggy tail, she had no mess and was quick to have a biscuit and a drink. “Above and beyond helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The prices are fair and calculated to find you the most cost effective and safe way to travel your pet. Time was taken to reassure and explain all the details and requirements. The paperwork was explained with a lot of patience. Ian even helped me with my travel to the airport and liaised with the pet lounge, so I didnt have to wait for hours in my vehicle at a meeting point, like i had to experience with other transport agents. The girl in the pet lounge was lovely and Ian sent me regular updates of my puppy’s journey, as well as a link to American Airlines pet tracking so i could keep track of when she left the lounge, arrived at the airport and was loaded on the plane. I had none of this from other companies. Ian also emailed me with pictures of her in the morning having cuddles and playtime, before being loaded for the flight and he even had a crate made for her that suited her size and measurements instead of using one of the generic manufactured ones. Pup arrived happy, calm and clean and did not seem at all fazed by her journey to New York from the UK. Ian let me know when she had landed and when she had been collected. I would never consider sending my animals via any other company after having this outstanding service. Transporting a young animal overseas can be very nerve-wracking but this company understands that and does everything possible to put you at ease which is definitely what is needed. I would have given more stars if they were available.”

The first quote I received was from the top pet shipper in the UK and was over £7000. Anyone who has a pet will know there are businesses who trade in the emotional blackmail of pet owners; pet shippers seem to be some of the worst. Having had quotes from a half dozen of the most highly regarded, well reviewed ones in the UK, I found the quotes to be eye-watering! The best by far was from My Pet Travel, less than half the cost of most of the rest. Professional and knowledgable from the start, my emails and calls to Ian were quickly responded to and my queries and concerns addressed along the way. My dog travelled to the USA this week. Kirsty met me at Heathrow and everything was done so easily and professionally – during an emotionally stressful time, she was simply wonderful. Because My Pet Travel’ quote was so reasonable while all others had been so extortionate I kept waiting for something to go wrong!
